We all have dreams. We all have talents. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. However, how you act on those dreams contributes to the outcome of your life. We all know the remedy to a successful business or career, but are we really doing it right? Or are we just a bunch of copy cats?

Here are the top 5 misconceptions that I believe derail us from our goals, taking us straight to the nearest failure ditch.

1. SUCCESS IS CONTAGIOUS

Success is not and will never be contagious. When you are dating someone who is successful in every aspect, it doesn’t mean that you are also successful. You might benefit from the fruits of the person’s labor but that is just as far as it goes. Success is NOT contagious but energy is.

So always be with people who are positive. People who add value to your life, those are the friends or partners we all need in this life.

2. JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE ELSE DID IT, IT WILL WORK FOR ME

We may share the same vision with people who we look up to or even the same goals, but that doesn’t mean what that person did in 1996 for their business to grow is going to work for you in 2018. Be innovative, think out of the box and do something that works for you.

3. MY BUSINESS WILL TAKE OFF NEXT MONTH

This is actually a continuation from my last point. We all know that things don’t work out the same for everyone. Some people, graduate and immediately get jobs.

Others struggle for months or even years before they get their big break. So is, with business, you cannot say

4. IF I TALK ABOUT IT, IT WILL SURELY COME TRUE

Talk less and do more… As much as the Law of Attraction is real, it’s not enough. It doesn’t replace the fact that you actually have to WORK on those WORDS.

“The Law of Attraction Isn’t Enough… You have to put in the work on those words.”

Having a great attitude is perfect, but don’t let it end there, do something about it. If you can think it, surely you can make it happen.

5. HAVING THAT “GOD WILL PROVIDE” ATTITUDE

I am believer of God and the power he has. I believe in his word, I believe that he is indeed always watching over us and giving us our hearts desires. If you are familiar with the saying “faith without action is not enough.” you will understand that God gave us the brains…we are free-thinkers.

He gave us talents and now it’s up to you to take what you have and create magic. God will not drop a degree from heaven, you have to work hard to obtain that degree.

Businesses don’t fall from the sky. You have to put in the work for it to flourish… So please don’t do that to yourself. That is just a mindset for lazy people.
